I Want Post Cards started as a shoebox and a stubborn habit. We're a postcard, travel-stationery, and snail-mail publication built for people who still like getting something physical in the mail, in a year when almost nothing else arrives that way.
We cover postcard collecting, Postcrossing, travel postcards, vintage cards, postal history, stamps and postmarks, and the broader world of snail mail. That means practical guides (how to store a collection so it survives, how to read a postmark) sitting next to the stories behind specific cards, the kind that show up at estate sales with someone else's handwriting still on the back.
What we cover
Seven lanes, all under one roof: Postcard Collecting, Postcrossing, Travel Postcards, Vintage Postcards, Postcard History, Stamps and Postmarks, and Snail Mail. If a topic touches paper, ink, a stamp, or a stranger's handwriting, it probably belongs here.
What we won't do
We don't publish private addresses or personal correspondence without permission. We don't reproduce copyrighted postcard artwork as downloadable files without authorization, and we don't claim reproduction cards are genuine antiques. When we can't verify a historical detail about an old card, we say so instead of guessing. We disclose affiliate relationships, and we credit other collectors' photographs rather than republishing them without permission.
